Building with AI — the paths, the daily quota and the 402 refusal
You write what you want; the AI builds the project files, saves them and shows them in the preview. AI is available on paid plans only, and each plan has a number of requests per day. This page explains the three paths, what you see and what counts.

Where building happens
All building happens in «محرر الذكاء» (AI editor) at /projects/[id]: chat on one side, preview on the other. Type in the box and press Enter or the send button. The input box is covered in Chat and the preview in Preview.
Three paths

If the project has files and your wording is an addition or a change, the request is sent as an edit and the toggle visibly switches to «✏ تعديل» (Edit), so a small request never replaces your whole project.
The staged build, step by step
- You describe your project on the start page; the editor opens and sends the description automatically.
- The server writes «أخطّط قبل أن أبدأ…» (Planning before I start…) and then shows the plan and its milestones.
- The first milestone starts; changed files appear row by row, followed by file check results.
- The milestone completes, a new numbered version of the project is saved, and a summary appears.
- The remaining milestones stay in the «عرض المراحل» (Show milestones) strip above the input; each is built by its own request.
If a build runs long, after six seconds a toast «ابنِ مشروعاً آخر أثناء الانتظار؟» (Build another project while you wait?) appears with «التغييرات قد تستغرق دقائق» (Changes may take minutes); it opens the projects dashboard in a new tab without interrupting the running build.
What you see while it builds
- Reasoning: the model's thinking appears under «يفكّر…» (Thinking…), kept apart from the answer.
- The reply: in «✏ تعديل» (Edit) it is written progressively. In «✨ إنشاء» (Generate) the model's text is held until the files pass their checks and are saved, and a list of work stages with a progress bar shows in its place. The preview shows «AI يبني...» (AI is building...).
- Files: applied in the editor only after the server has saved them and sent their receipt; the preview updates then.
- A clarifying question: the server may answer with one question instead of building when the request is incomplete.
- Quota: the chat header shows the remaining requests as «متبقي» (remaining).
Stopping a request
«إيقاف» (Stop), or Escape while generating unless a dialog or the shortcuts panel is open, cuts the request in the browser and on the server together: the model stops, no new files are written if the stop arrives before saving, the chat shows a message starting «⏹ أوقفتَ الطلب قبل الحفظ» (You stopped the request before saving), and the stages that finished stay listed. If saving had already happened, the saved files stay and the message starts «⏹ أوقفتَ الطلب بعد حفظ الملفّات» (You stopped the request after the files were saved). In a staged build, the stopped milestone's files are not written if the stop comes before they are saved. Sending again after a stop is a new request, not a resume of the stopped one.
What fails and why

- The window is 24 hours starting from your first request, not from midnight.
- The quota check accepts a "cost" in model calls, but the editor's build, generate and edit routes count every request as one.
- On the «✨ إنشاء» (Generate) path, a request that fails, is rejected by the quality gate or is stopped before saving is returned to your quota.
- When the quota runs out the request is refused with HTTP 429 and «وصلت الحد اليومي للطلبات» (You reached the daily request limit).
What a free-plan user sees
On the «المجانية» (Free) plan the input box does not appear at all. In its place is the message «الذكاء الاصطناعي متاح في الباقات المدفوعة فقط — القوالب والمحرّر المرئي متاحان في خطتك.» (AI is available on paid plans only — templates and the visual editor are available on your plan) and two buttons: «رقِّ باقتك لتفعيل الذكاء الاصطناعي» (Upgrade to enable AI), which opens the «ترقية الخطة» (Upgrade plan) dialog, and «افتح المحرّر المرئي» (Open the visual editor). Any request from this plan that reaches an AI route is refused before touching the counter with HTTP 402, code AI_PAID_ONLY and the upgrade link /billing; the editor shows the message with a lock and opens the upgrade dialog instead of "Error 402". If you are a collaborator on a project someone else owns, whatever your plan the input box is replaced by «توليد الذكاء الاصطناعي في هذا المشروع لمالكه وحده: يُحتسب على حسابه، فلا يتاح للأعضاء المدعوّين أيًّا كانت الباقة.» (AI generation in this project is for its owner only: it is charged to their account, so it is not available to invited members whatever the plan) and only the «افتح المحرّر المرئي» (Open the visual editor) button, with no upgrade button.
